石屋家園 | Stonehouses Family Garden
三級歷史建築物石屋(侯王廟新村31-35號)在1945-1949年間建於何家村的地基上,是侯王廟新村僅存的建築物,為香港特別行政區政府發展局第二期活化歷史建築伙伴計劃的項目之一。經活化歷史建築諮詢委員會評審及在香港特別行政區政府的資助下,由非牟利機構永光鄰舍關懷服務隊有限公司將此政府擁有的歷史建築活化為「石屋家園」。 石屋家園以「懷舊冰室」為主題,並以社會企業形式營運,透過懷舊冰室、文物探知中心、多功能用途室、露天劇場、明陣(labyrinth)等設施為香港市民及海外旅客提供餐飲、課程(體驗式訓練和旅遊歷練計劃)、展覽及導賞團等服務。

“Poon Choi” banquet

With the objective of serving the community, the Stone Houses Family Garden held the second “Poon Choi” banquet for the elderly on September 24th, 2016. More than two hundred elders and volunteers spent an enjoyable evening right after the Mid-autumn festival over a feast served in big casseroles. The food was ordered with special thoughts to satisfy the taste of the elderly. Traditional sweet bean curd soup was served as dessert. Games, riddle solving, singing performances were prepared to make sure all participants have a great time. It was evident that all of them enjoyed the night thoroughly as they left with hearty smiles.

Stone Houses, 31-35 Hau Wong Temple New Village, were built between 1945 and 1949 in the Ho Family Village. They are now the only structures remained at the village and are listed as Grade 3 Historic Building. They are also included in Batch 2 of the Revitalising Historic Buildings Through Partnership Scheme launched by the Development Bureau of the HKSAR Government and “Wing Kwong So-Care Company Limited” was selected to carry out the revitalization of the Stone Houses into Stone Houses Family Garden. Operating as a social enterprise, Stone Houses Family Garden offered to the community and visitors a wide range of services, including food and beverages, exhibitions, guided tours and special courses, through its Themed Café, Interpretation Centre, multi-function, open theatre and labyrinth-patterened garden.
